Bears: Caleb Williams, QB USC
This pick is really obvious. The Bears are getting a guy they hope to be a mainstay for a long time here.
Commanders: Jayden Daniels, QB LSU
I’m up in the air of which QB will go here but I think Daniels fits. This regime has the leash to take this swing and give Daniels time to develop. Plus they did sign Marcus Mariota, which is maybe a hint as to the QB type they are looking at taking. Daniels fits that.
Patriots: JJ McCarthy, QB Michigan
The Patriots do not pass on a QB here or trade out. There is no reason to. They take a Michigan QB that they can only hope is even a fraction as successful as the last one they took.
Vikings (trade with Cardinals): Drake Maye, QB UNC
Yes, we see QBs go 1-4 in a row for the first time ever. The Vikings are definitely plotting a trade up and have the ammo to get there. Is this the smartest move? Probably not as trading a lot to take the 4th QB off the board seems like a bad strategy but if they like the guy, I guess why not? Drake Maye fits what they want and the QB coach of the Vikings, Josh McCown, coached Maye in high school so there’s a real connection there.
Chargers: Marvin Harrison Jr., WR OSU
The Chargers are big beneficiaries of QBs going 1-4. They can take their top player on the board since they have their QB. With that pick, Harbaugh takes an old rival in Marvin Harrison Jr. They need a WR badly after losing Allen and Williams in cap casualty moves.
Giants: Malik Nabers, WR LSU
Speaking of teams that need WR help badly, the Giants. They have a collection of WR 2s and 3s at best. They also need a big-time playmaker to run their offense through with Barkley gone. They can get one here at WR with Nabers.
Titans: Joe Alt, OT Notre Dame
This should be a no-brainer for the Titans. They got a lot in free agency and trade but they need a tackle to protect Will Levis. Joe Alt is a premium prospect at the position.
Cardinals (trade with Falcons): Rome Odunze, WR Washington
The Cardinals trade right back up a bit to get a WR when they really need one.
Bears: Dallas Turner, EDGE Alabama
The first defensive player goes off the board at 9 to the Bears. So they get the top QB and the defensive player. A very good haul for them.
Jets: Brock Bowers, TE Georgia
The Jets add another playmaker to the mix for Rodgers by adding a dynamic tight end in Bowers here. The offense looks dangerous provided the future hall-of-fame QB is healthy and available.
Falcons (trade with Cardinals): Terrion Arnold, CB Alabama
The Falcons add another piece to their secondary by adding Arnold.
Broncos: Jared Verse, EDGE FSU
The Broncos need to rebuild in a lot of areas but edge rusher is not a bad place to build for now.
Raiders: Quinyon Mitchell, CB Toledo
The Raiders need some help in the secondary and Mitchell is a high-end talent to take here.
Saints: Olumuyiwa Fashanu, OT PSU
The Saints add more protection for Derek Carr in hopes that helps him and the offense improve.
Colts: Taliese Fuaga, OT Oregon State
The Colts take a tackle too as they look to continue to build around Anthony Richardson.
Seahawks: Jackson Powers-Johnson, OC Oregon
Center is not a typical first-round position but Powers-Johnson is worthy of the pick here and the Seahawks need help there.
Jaguars: Brian Thomas Jr., WR LSU
The Jaguars lost Calvin Ridley and need to replace that gaping hole and give Lawrence more help. Thomas Jr. was commonly overlooked by Nabers at LSU but he’s awesome in his own right and is worth this pick.
Bengals: Amarius Mims, OT Georgia
The Bengals have added at tackle but they still need a more long-term solution and Mims fits that bill. He needs developing, which he can do behind Orlando Brown and Trent Brown. Also, Mims is the size profile the Bengals now have at tackle and have shifted towards.
Rams: Johnny Newton, DT Illinois
The Rams immediately fill the DT hole left by the retirement of Aaron Donald.
Steelers: JC Latham, OT Alabama
The Steelers add a first-round tackle again. Jones and Latham could be an awesome tackle duo for a long time.
Dolphins: Byron Murphy II, DT Texas
The Dolphins replace Christian Wilkins here.
Eagles: Nate Wiggins, CB Clemson
Everyone knows the Eagles need help in the secondary. They prioritize that here.
Cardinals (trade with Vikings): Laiatu Latu, EDGE UCLA
The talent is all there for Latu but the rawness and other team desires might push him down the board to allow the Cardinals to take a chance at a top-15 talent in this draft.
Cowboys: Adonai Mitchell, WR Texas
Should the Cowboys do this? Maybe not. Would they? Absolutely. Jerry Jones can’t resist a shiny new toy if one is there for him. Remember when they took CeeDee Lamb despite having Amari Cooper?
Packers: Troy Fautanu, OT Washington
I can’t say I feel confident Fautanu will fall this far but it’s how it worked out. The Packers could use a tackle for sure.
Bucs: Cooper DeJean, DB Iowa
The Bucs get the versatile defensive back to help their defense try to get them to a different level.
Raiders (trade with Cardinals): Bo Nix, QB Oregon
Yes, I’m going with this. It would be a stunning late 1st round move but one that makes some sense. Raiders miss out on the top guys but get a guy here and the Cardinals feel the need to not take three guys in the 1st round here since the hit rate on that is very low so they move down and gain more picks to build their team.
Bills: Xavier Worthy, WR Texas
This would be an awesome fit for the Bills. A big-time speed guy to stretch the field with Allen’s big arm and frees up Diggs to do the underneath work that he does so well.
Lions: Graham Barton, OG Duke
The Lions love building through the offensive line and they need to replace a guard so they get one here.
Ravens: Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB Alabama
Ravens just waiting and watching good players fall to them. That’s what happens again here.
49ers: Kingsley Suamataia, OT BYU
The 49ers need a tackle and this is a good fit for them.
Chiefs: Ladd McConkey, WR Georgia
The Chiefs continue to revamp the WR room with a crisp route runner in McConkey who draws comps to Cooper Kupp with how he plays. That could be dangerous with Mahomes.
