Bears: Caleb Williams, QB USC
This pick is really obvious. The Bears are getting a guy they hope is a mainstay for a long time here.
Commanders: Jayden Daniels, QB LSU
I’m back on the Jayden Daniels to the Commanders thing. It always has made the most sense and all signs are pointing that way.
Giants (trade with Patriots): JJ McCarthy, QB Michigan
The Giants have been quietly in the QB market in the draft process and I could see a trade up here for them to grab one. JJ McCarthy would fit and could possibly sit and develop before the Giants move off Daniel Jones next year. I’m convinced the Patriots are trading out of this pick.
Vikings (trade with Cardinals): Drake Maye, QB UNC
The Vikings make an offer the Cardinals can’t refuse to land this pick to take Drake Maye, who has connections to their coaching staff, and land their QB of the future. QBs go 1-4 for the first time ever.
Chargers: Joe Alt, OT Notre Dame
If I know anything about Jim Harbaugh, it’s that he lives for the trenches, especially offensive line. WR seems like what they are most predicted to do but I think Harbaugh views it differently. I think he’ll think get an elite OT prospect here and go WR later.
Patriots (trade with Giants): Marvin Harrison Jr., WR OSU
Patriots moved down to get extra draft capital and still get the top WR in the class. A position they desperately need.
Titans: Malik Nabers, WR LSU
Brian Callahan is going to follow the Bengals blueprint he saw first hand and when everyone thinks they should take an OT they take a WR while it seems they don’t need one.
Falcons: Byron Murphy, DT Texas
After revamping their offense, the Falcons take the first defensive player off the board here. It’s Murphy though in a little surprise but Raheem Morris saw first hand with the Rams what a high-end DT can do for a defense.
Cardinals (trade with Bears): Rome Odunze, WR Washington
The Bears move down to fill out their draft resources since they are low on it. The Cardinals have an abundance of them to move up and a need at WR. This is a fit. Bears made a similar move last year down from 9 to 10.
Jets: Brock Bowers, TE Georgia
The Jets have had problems at TE for a while. Getting Bowers can solve that and give Rodgers another dynamic skill player.
Bears (trade with Cardinals): Dallas Turner, EDGE Alabama
The Bears trade down to get resources and still get the guy they’d have taken at 9.
Eagles (trade with Broncos): Terrion Arnold, CB Alabama
The Eagles move up to fix a big hole they have with another SEC player in Arnold. The Broncos fill draft capital they need with their gap between 12 and 76 with a roster in need of cheap talent.
Raiders: Michael Penix Jr., QB Washington
The Raiders take Penix Jr. right here and hope to solve their QB issue. He fits with the Raiders and he’d be fun to watch throwing to Adams.
Saints: Taliese Fuaga, OT Oregon State
The Saints get offensive line help that they could use here.
Colts: Quinyon Mitchell, CB Toledo
Mitchell is a great fit for the Colts and needed help for their secondary that they are looking for.
Seahawks: Troy Fautanu, OT Washington
The Seahawks coaching staff has a deep connection to Washington so I predict they take at least one guy from that team in this draft. Fautanu works here as a versatile type of lineman.
Jaguars): Olu Fashanu, OT PSU
Trent Baalke likes the trenches too, maybe some Harbaugh rubbed off on him in San Francisco. I can see it here for them.
Bengals: Brian Thomas Jr., WR LSU
This is where the fun begins. The Bengals go WR. They also go back to the LSU well that’s been so good to them. They will be looking at probably not having Higgins long-term so they can reset things here at the pay scale for a WR2 to Chase.
Rams: Amarius Mims, OT Georgia
The Rams offensive line has been a focus and getting bigger on the line specifically. Mims fits the bill to continue on with the trend.
Steelers: JC Latham, OT Alabama
The Steelers add a first round tackle again. Jones and Latham could work very well long-term.
Dolphins: Xavier Worthy, WR Texas
The Dolphins can’t help themselves. The speed is what they want. The fastest player in combine history is sitting there for them. How can they say no? It isn’t rational but it’d be very fun.
Broncos (trade with Eagles): Jared Verse, EDGE FSU
The Broncos move down for value and also get good value with the pick and the position here. Verse fits for them.
Cardinals (trade with Vikings): Cooper DeJean, DB Iowa
The Cardinals add to their secondary, which they need to do. The versatile DB from Iowa gives them something Jonathan Gannon had in Philadelphia that they can get here.
Cowboys: Kingsley Suamataia, OT BYU
The Cowboys add to their offensive line here. Suamataia probably goes earlier than people anticipate here but he has really high upside.
Packers: Graham Barton, IOL Duke
The Packers need help on the offensive line. The versatile Barton can provide them with it.
Bucs: Laiatu Latu, EDGE UCLA
The Bucs get an edge rusher for Todd Bowles to play around with and a replacement for Shaq Barrett.
Cardinals: Johnny Newton, DT Illinois
The Cardinals got the WR earlier and now they fill another hole with one of the best defensive tackles in the draft.
Bills: Chop Robinson, EDGE PSU
WR seems like the thing to do here but the Bills need a lot of help in a lot of areas way too much to just lock into a WR here in a deep class at the position. Getting an edge rusher seems like the best thing to do,
Lions: Zach Frazier, IOL WVU
The more I read about Frazier and the more I see him rise on boards, the more I see him just being a Detroit Lion. He feels like a Dan Campbell player.
Ravens: Patrick Paul, OT Houston
Paul said himself that he expects to go late 1st. The Ravens make a ton of sense if you take him at his word. He is the type of offensive linemen they like targeting.
49ers: Adonai Mitchell, WR Texas
The WR position isn’t a problem in the present for the 49ers but could become one next year. They draft ahead of that with this pick of a WR that does need some work but with the 49ers he may be afforded that time behind all the other playmakers they have on offense. It’s a good spot to land.
Chiefs: Max Melton, CB Rutgers
A lot of talk about the Chiefs needing a WR but they cobbled a WR group together last year that somehow won a Super Bowl because of the QB they have. Plus they added Hollywood Brown. I think they’ll seek CB here after trading Sneed. Max Melton fits the description perfectly of what the Chiefs want a CB to be and do.
